I recall reading it and being slouched over like, "Sigh...why are all the good ones [webcomics] under hiatus ._. I then spent the night reading as quickly as possible, three times, and getting my LULZ from Metis + Bookcase.

(that killed me - seriously. still does, actually.)

I still don't get the bookcase thing.
It was great though. XD You basically can't stop reading after that.

Nearly the same sentiments as everyone else: the bookcase was EPIC. The other part I like is when Josh confessed to Metis and Metis got confused then started rambling (what was really cute :3).

Anyway, howcome I'm feeling Mihashi (from ookiku furikabutte) vibes from Metis and Abe vibes from Josh?

I love the way it draws you in with its reality. A lot of stories out there can come off as trashy, cliche, plotless, and dull. But HoneySyn manages to bring cliche to the story with a new perspective.
The best part about HoneySyn, in my opinion, is that you can understand and believe what's happening. It's perfectly paced, nothing is ever skipped. So many good stories are ruined when the artist skips a not-very-actiony-but-plot-essential bit of the story. HoneySyn takes everything step by step, and that's why I love it.

I'm addicted to Jay.

Those eyes, that frustrating non-relationship between himself and Charles, the hair...

I think the title caught my eye first. I don't remember where I saw the link, though. I read all of it (up to Metis' and Jay's card game in the library, too lazy to find the exact page) in one night. The art, the story, the characters, I loved everything, and I was so excited it was still running!

One word: Originality.

.....

More words:

-Lack of cliche' plot sequencing
-lack of devotion to the standard high-school yaoi webcomic formula
-characterization
-art
-character design

I think it was Buzzcomix! I was bored, scanning the top 100 comics, and there was Honeysyn, and it was so much awesomer than everything else ever, especially after the bookcase fell on poor Metis. XD I read the part where Josh recalls the phonecall that lead to it over and over again, and just couldn't stop laughing at the expression on his face. From then on, I was totally hooked.

The art is okay but what really got me was the humor, like the scene where Metis is on the roof and Josh is trying to "stop" Metis from jumping off the roof, that scene had me in stitches for days! It made me laugh so much that i automatically told my friends to begin reading honeysyn and now we've created a mini fanclub in france ^^

I also like the bishounen in there like Jay ^^

oh . . . i almost forgot . . .

The title. I'm actually allergic to honeydew, and I had eaten some the day earlier (it was on my mind. Shush). So I hit up Sage Comics (no idea how), and hey. It was like fate. FATE.

And Metis sucked me in with his sarcastic stupidity <3. And Jock Josh? The alliteration made me happy, too.

All of it.
But I really love the interactions between May and Charles. :3 Probably why I stuck with it instead of forgetting about it like I do with most other comics.

Crack.

Naw. It was actually one the first bl's I read. Awesome comic to start with. Amirite? But yeah. The art was gorgeous. The characters were epic and about as full of smartassery as they come. How could I not become a honeysyner?
