Because, sifting through various posts, I notices much talk of various musicals. I figured we theatre geeks need to stick together, yes?

Yes, we must band together! _________________ "Even though the American armed forces have a distinct policy of 'don’t ask, don’t tell' towards the alternative sexualities, if you’re a bloke wearing a lot of makeup I don’t think they need to ask, really." - Eddie Izzard

Oh yeah!
I was soooo waiting for this topic to pop up. *is such the theatre geek*
What musicals/ballets/operas have you guys seen?
I myself, being a New Yorkian, have seen:
Cats
A Christmas Carol( both a longgggggggg time ago)
Mama Mia
The Lion King
Wicked
Hairspray(fronts row center seats to one of Harvey Firestiens last performances! We could litterally see up his skirt.... )
and a few minor plays done by schools and such.
I've also seen the Barber of Seville(which is an opera and very funny) and Swan Lake(ballet obviously). _________________ *chews on homemade Honeysyn plushies*

I'm an awful Theatre Geek in the fact I've only been to Broadway once and it was a school trip. ; . ; (And we saw a crap show too. LAME.)
But I've seen other shows, musicals or not. Let's see... Professional performances... list is too short. =___=
-Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are DEAD
-Mrs. Warren's Profession
-The Little Mermaid (this is my only Broadway show to date. *sigh*)
...omg, that's it. I feel pathetic. Erm... well, the musicals turned movies I've seen are...
-Little Shop of Horrors
-Rent
-Hairspray
-The Music Man
-Sweeney Todd
...God, I hate being poor. DDD: (Well, middle class)
Amateur Performances:
-The Hunchback of Notre Dame
-Little Shop of Horrors
-Oliver Twist *
-Noises Off!
-The Music Man
-It's a Wonderful Life *
-Thoroughly Modern Millie
*-I performed in these.
...Anybody have any suggestions for what I should see (hopefully) next month on Broadway? _________________ "Even though the American armed forces have a distinct policy of 'don’t ask, don’t tell' towards the alternative sexualities, if you’re a bloke wearing a lot of makeup I don’t think they need to ask, really." - Eddie Izzard

Well, I've only seen a small handful of things on Broadway:
Wicked
A Chorus Line
The Color Purple.
Other than that, I've seen a lot of traveling productions.
I think my favourite Musical is either Wicked of A Chorus Line.
Oh, and I suggest a Chorus Line. It's pretty funny, and it's paced in real time, which is awesome.
(Another suggestion- Whatever is cheap at the TKTS Station xD) _________________ Henry was a chemist

I live in NL, we don't HAVE big musicals.
The biggest thing here is like.. Et Cetera.

Yeah..
*hasn't seen any musicals but desperately wants to see multiple*
>_<
Darn Newfoundland and the lack-of-musical-performances.
*is eventually going to get around to getting the Wicked CD / finishing reading the book*
And I've seen the RENT movie. >_<
But Musicals are cool anyways. 8D

Aaah, I've only been to see two...Cats and Avenue Q. =D
Being that I'm practically the only one of my friends to like musicals. I'm working on that though, I'll bring them 'round, I swear. XD

Being Swedish, I haven't actually seen anything on Broadway >_>
I did see the Swedish version of Rent, though, as well as a number of small Swedish plays/musicals.
Oh, and I also saw Mamma Mia in D.C a few years ago x'D Hey, I'm Swedish, It's like, required.
As for musicals-turned-movies, I've seen;
Chicago
Phantom of the Opera
Rent
Dream Girls
And other stuff I can't remember.

Hurrah!
I've seen:
Actual Musicals
-Avenue Q
-Wicked
-Cats
Movie!Musicals
-Rent
-Dream Girls
-Phantom of the Opera
-Hairspray
-Sound of Music
And I teched my high school's production of Seussical. Which may have been the best musical ever. It's the only musical I've seen where a girl get's sex-changed into a boy. Haha. Coming up this year is "Once On This Island," and I'm hella excited.
Musicals ftw.[/b] _________________ Roxie's Axel.
